Title: Network Engineer Team Lead

The Network Engineer works as part of the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team at Fiberlink in Bangalore (BL).

Role
The Network Engineer Team Lead will be responsible for all aspects of Fiberlink BL�s Corporate, Development, and Quality Assurance networks. The Team Lead will also be responsible for the leading the other members of the BL GTS team assisting with time management and problem resolution. The candidate should be highly motivated and have strong networking background.

�Responsibilities
�Lead the administration and monitoring for the entire Fiberlink BL network and Windows server infrastructure.
�On-call 24x7x365.
�Manage vendor/provider relationships: equipment support contracts, ISP services.
�Participate in the budget process for the infrastructure areas.
�Supervise and mentor Network, Database, and Windows team personnel.
�Lead technical projects in all infrastructure areas.
�Resource planning for infrastructure related projects and administrative activities.
�Evaluation of infrastructure technology for current and future application within Fiberlink BL.
�Provide technical support for entire Fiberlink BL network and Windows server infrastructure.
�Provide technical support, when needed, to internal Fiberlink BL staff.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills useful for us
�4+ years of recent experience in security and networking-related work including design, configurations, and implementation planning.
�4+ years of recent detailed network design.
�2+ years of Windows server administration.
�Expert level knowledge of: TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing and IP network design, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g Wireless LAN, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.
�Advanced level knowledge of: Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware, Windows backup strategies and solutions.
�IPSec VPN administration.
�Cisco SOHO class routers and IOS experience (1800 series for example)
�Netscreen administration experience -NS5X-NS20X
�Cisco Catalyst Switch (IOS based) experience with switch stacking enabled
�Cisco VPN 3000 Series VPN Concentrators.
�Cisco Aironet Wireless Access Points (1100 and 1200 Series).
�Understanding of VoIP networks
�Understanding of general Windows server administration and
�Strong desktop troubleshooting skills

Requirements:
�B.E/B.Tech/ in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
�Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
�Excellent oral and written communication skills.
�Ability to work well independently while being flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
�Ability to set priorities, accommodate requirement changes and resource changes.
