alert with buttons

i was wondering if anyone could teach me how to display an alert box with two buttons/choices.

see, i want an alert box to appear when i click a link. the alert box would have to buttons kind of like a confirm box with a yes or no. instead of the yes or no though, i want it to display "manual" and "scanner". and it would then redirect to the appropriate jsp and target it to an inline frame.

in this forum? or somewhere else? i've been at this since this morning. i tried the confirm thing but i can't change the yes and no buttons though

Then you know that you cannot affect the appearance or buttons of the alert or confirm boxes displayed by the browsers. You'll either need to live with what they provide, or use Javascript and CSS to mimic your own.
