What are you looking for in a book, once I know that I can point you to one that fits your needs?

I'm using 'JavaScript for the World Wide Web' 5th Edition
By Tom Negrino, Dori Smith.

I like this book, it has 20 chapters with dozens of examples.
The cool thing about this is all the code and images you need
are on the website...
JavaScript World
So its just a matter of making folders and lots of copy and pasting.
Which will ultimately save you a lot of time, since it is quite
a broad subject (as appose to deep, like java), and there are
many ways of doing simple things.
For example, a link could be just text, or an image, or a rollover
image.
