I have a drop-down that is wide enough to hold 20-30 characters. I am limiting the width of the drop down. We don;t have enough screen real estate to hold a bigger drop-down. However, the data inside the drop down in more about 50 characters. So, the data is displayed truncated. So, I want to change the drop-down do that the list that comes up when the user activates the drop down should be wider than the drop-down itself. Any ideas? Anyone know if there is a drop-down available that already does that?

ALternatively, can I make the drop down multi line? If I can make it multi-line, I can make the text wrap around.

Please don't tell me to increase the width of the drop down, because we simply don't have enough real estate
