I'm trying to use document.referrer to find the url of the window from which a window was poped, is that possible with document.referrer???

for example

your current window (Window A) clicking on a link pops up window B
I;ve tried to put document.referrer in window B to get the url of window A, but when I alert(document.referrer) its blank

is this correct usage of referrer
???

thanks for all your help
