Summary

As a senior developer, you will contribute to the development of technical solutions for our fixed-income portfolio managers. This role breaks down as 40% development, 40% Systems Analysis, and 20% Client Interface.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • The role involves participation in all aspects of the development process including requirements analysis, design, design review, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Required Background/Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or directly related field


  • 7+ years of hands-on design and development experience in commercial environments


  • Experience in Java development and Oracle (PL/SQL) specifically


  • At least 2 years of experience developing J2EE applications using JDBC, JNDI, EJB, JMS, and other related technologies


  • Demonstrated expertise in relational database technologies (Oracle) with strong PL/SQL programming skills


  • Demonstrated experience with PERL


  • Solid understanding of XML development technologies


  • Knowledge of common design patterns and their application


  • Experience with and demonstrated understanding of modern software development and testing methodologies



  • Major Pluses to have
  • Financial services domain experience


  • Ideally the candidate will have experience working in Investment Management industry and will understand the Investment Process and Fixed Income
