Our client, a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company, has a current opening for a
Java Developer. This individual will participate in the complete redesign and development of the corporate websites using Java, Weblogic, and Oracle.

Tasks will include detailed system design and involvement with business design on assigned projects. Development, implementation and continuing operation of various systems. Programs supported range from simple to complex assignments. Supports the daily activity of the Business Areas by creating and maintaining custom reports and programs and by providing technical support for system and software issues. Meets less frequently with the supervisor to review progress and problems related to the job.

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree in related field.
* 3-5 years experience in IT.
* Experience with Java, Weblogic, XML, JSPs.
* Some business and technical knowledge of investment processes.
* Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices and procedures of the department and business units.
* Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies.
* Demonstrates proficiency in systems analysis of business requirements.
* Has written and oral communication skills to make technical or non-technical material understandable to the team members and supervisor.
* Be prepared to carry a pager for system support outside of office hours.
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
* Knowledge of Java, Weblogic, XML and JSPs.
* Knowledge of relational database environment, Oracle preferred.
* Knowledge of UNIX environment, AIX preferred.
* Knowledge of Client-server concepts, (3-tier architecture concepts preferred), and GUI.
* Development concepts required.
* Experience with Microsoft Windows, HTML,
word processing and spreadsheet application required.
* Experience with UML and design
patterns a plus.
