I know that the book covers integration with various Java web frameworks and also covers various AJAX toolkits. Is the same example application implemented using each of these different approaches and is the ease with which they are developed compared?

Our book uses small, to the point examples for each framework. We do this so users can understand the core concepts of each topic without having to wade through the extraneous details of a larger application.

Each example is focused on one or two core concepts which should illustrate how each framework should be used. You should be able to work your way through the examples and decide which framework is best for your needs.
