Salary Expectations: �30,000 - �39,000 per annum (depending on suitability)

My Client is based in Berkshire, UK. They are an International Software Company who are seeking to recruit a self-motivated, bright individual to work for the Company as a Java programmer. The successful applicant�s main responsibility will be to work on developing a number of central, server side applications for our flagship product.

This position will involve working as part of a small, innovative development team, predominantly focused on extending the web service API and tracking/redirection application for our Consumer-focused desktop product.

This role presents the right person the opportunity to work with a group of talented individuals and be part of an entrepreneurial outfit that thrive on the challenges of launching products to the consumer market.

The ideal candidate will have:
- High problem analysis and solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Object Oriented and design methodologies.
- Ability to work in a very challenging & dynamic environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A pleasant personality.

The skills required for this role are as follows:
�At least 3 years of experience with J2SE and J2EE development platform.
�Strong knowledge in all of JSP, Servlet, JDBC, SQL and XML.
�Knowledge of Hibernate ORM Framework and Struts MVC Framework.
�Good Knowledge of build tools and testing frameworks (ANT, JUnit, HttpUnit).
�Sound knowledge of design patterns.

The following would be advantageous, but not essential:
�Experience with MySql, Tomcat and Eclipse.
�Knowledge of CVS.
�Java certifications (SCJP or SCJD).
