WAP Search Work Flow

Skill Set:
5+ years experience: Java, RDBMS, SQL, ORM technologies (Required)
Familiarity with Linux OS (Required)
Database driven workflow system experience a strong plus
Search experience a strong plus
Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL experience a plus
Scripting (bash, python or ruby, stored procedures) a plus
Rapid Web Application development experience a plus

Member of the WAP Search development team
Develop key workflow and knowledge base systems for our WAP Search systems
Interface with DB and System Administrators for production deployment

Software Engineer

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and implement efficient, scalable personalized search and recommendation algorithms
Develop tools to evaluate and optimize search results and recommendations
Improve relevancy of search results and recommendations using extensive knowledge of information retrieval and data mining
Develop prototypes of new features
Build and deploy models in production
Collaborate with program managers and developers to design new mission-critical personalization and recommendations features

Required Skills and Experience:
Experience developing production search, personalization, and/or recommendations software
Extensive knowledge of information retrieval and data mining tools and algorithms
Desire to develop new features and algorithms to deliver the most relevant content to mobile users
Proven ability to implement production software using Java, Linux, and other open source tools
Proven ability to thrive in a fluid environment with rapidly changing requirements, in a dynamic industry
