How are you defending/explaining the navigation concepts of AJAX in your book?

If users create a bookmark in their browser, they may not get the same view back when they follow the bookmark at some later point in time. We all know that navigation does not work properly with ajax, since the unit of navigation is different from the unit of view.

Can you please comment?

I thought I would go through all the unanswered questions and give them an answer.

I can not speak for Kris's book, but the navigation problem is solved with some work. There are ways of using iframes and the location search hash for navigation and bookmarking. A lot of the frameworks are building this in. I also would take a look at Really Simple History which does the work for you.
