As Lead J2EE Engineer, you will lead core architecture and engineering efforts on strategic technical direction. Reports to: The Manager of Equity Portfolio Management Systems
  • Take a hands-on, lead role in system architecture planning, technical design and solution delivery

  • Plan and manage implementation and deployment of technical solutions worldwide

  • Provide leadership for a team of employee and consultant resources

  • Assist with quality assurance testing

  • You must possess the following qualities:
  • Ability to meaningfully contribute to the development of a comprehensive, business-oriented systems strategy

  • Effective team management skills

  • Required Background/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • +10 years of professional experience with superb communication skills and attention to detail
  • Expertise in multi-tier J2EE, WebLogic, and Oracle database technologies
  • Experience delivering highly complex, low latency systems initiatives

  • Successful outsourced-development management experience

  • Solid agile software development methodology expertise

  • Major Pluses to have
  • Financial industry experience

  • Understanding of financial markets, statistics, analytics, and market data for equities, bonds, commodities and derivatives
