Summary As Lead Oracle
J2EE Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a development team that supports Portfolio Accounting and Client Administration systems. You will assist the project manager in planning and technical direction of projects, and work with developers and end users to design, architect, and implement product solutions to meet business requirements. You will assist the development manager in establishing priorities and technical assignments, and, occasionally, be required to perform some supervisory tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and support of the Portfolio accounting and Client administration systemsManage a medium-sized engineering team of employees and consultants, including offshore vendor-resourced staffAssist the project manager with the budgets, resource allocation, task distribution, delivery management, risk management, and other project management tasksEnsure that product architecture and internal practices are understood and followed by other team membersResponsible for non-functional requirements of systemsWork with the project manager, business team members, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, use cases, test plans, and functional specifications of the system You must possess the following qualities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong team leadership and management skillsAbility to independently design and coordinate complex projects Required Background/Experience 10+ years of experience as an enterprise developer5+ solid years of OO design and development experience3+ years developing complex n-tiered architectures5+ years of software development experience on the Java/J2EE platform2+ years experience in JSP and Struts5+ years of relational database programming experience, preferably with OracleExperience with Agile Project Management techniques, Unified Process, UML, Model-Driven Architecture and Use Case notations Major Pluses to have Exposure to the Geneva trading platformExperience with Portfolio accounting systems Employee Benefits Sorry, but we DO NOT sponsor H1-B transfers or TN-1 Visas for this career opportunity.
