To the authors.
Aren't you afraid that a book about free libraries might get out-of-date pretty soon ? By the way, I don't know how often those libraries are being updated but I see that Scriptaculous has already been updated in January 19, 2007.

Hi Satou,

Any tech book is going to get out of date in some areas, and, yes, P & S are moving fast. Version 1.5 of Prototype came out just as we were wrapping up, although we cover a lot of features in the 1.5 release because we were working with betas and release candidates.

Mostly, each release of these libraries are adding new features, rather than reinventing existing ones. The details will change, but not the core thinking behind the code, not their approasch to Javascript. Because we cover that, I reckon the book has legs for a few years yet.
