Java, PHP, ASP .. ?
Chapter 13 seems to talk about Prototype, Scriptaculous, and Rails ?
And why you decided to talk about Rails ?
It is nice to see all these Ajax gurus in the ranch

Some Java, some PHP, and yes, even a chapter on Rails. No ASP.

The folk who develop Prototype & Scriptaculous are mostly Rails users, and the libraries are bundled with Ruby on Rails. Nonetheless, the libraries stand on their own, and can be used with any server-side technology. I'm keen to spread the word outside the Rails community, so we picked a couple of popular languages that we knew well enough - Java and PHP.

However, we felt we needed a good chapter on the Rails integration too, which is where Tom Locke - the man behind the excellent Hobo plugin for Rails - came in.

The core emphasis throughout the book, though is Javascript, Javascript, Javascript
