Using JavaScript to Add Rows to a Table  RSS feed

I am using the JavaScript to keep adding rows to a table.

I have come up with a draft and it works (see below). However, I cannot figure out some details:

1. How do I create an empty cell which is equivalent to <td><br/></td>

I am uncertain what I use is correct:

2. How do I set my text field with relative measurement "em"?
Temporarily, I use the fixed measurement. But, it is not what I want
to do.

3. How do I put an image right next to my text field? I would like to do
something that is equivalent to the HTML code:
