as a newcomer to ajax, i wonder if the book covers or is somehow related to google toolkit

Hi Miguel,

No, we don't cover GWT in our book. GWT provides a complete end-to-end system for developing Ajax apps, whereas we're trying to present techniques that can be put in place as part of existing projects or development techniques.

Not that I don't have a lot of respect for GWT...

Hi,

No, we do not cover GWT. However, there is a Manning book in the works about it: http://manning.com/hanson/
