I have a web page (parent window 1) where I am using javascript to open up a pop-up window (window 2) that contains a textarea box and a submit button.

Here are the steps I am needing to take:

1. From parent window 1 - use javascript on button to open up a pop-up window (window 2). (DONE)
2. From pop-up window enter in value in textarea box and click the submit button and then close the pop-up window. (DONE)
3. When I close the pop-up window I run a "stripes framework" actionBean to process the contents of the textarea box. (DONE)
4. Now I am needing to reload the parent window 1 (original web page) with the updated contents.

I do not know anything about ajax and was trying to do something to where I can reload window 1 without having to use ajax. Is there a way to do this in ajax?

Here is the code from the pop-up window:

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
