A third author of the book is Dave Johnson. "Dave is the co-founder and CTO of Nitobi Software, a Vancouver-based AJAX component vendor and consulting firm."

I mention this, because I have used Ajax components from Nitobi and they are first class. "Industrial strength" and robust. And as if that was not enough, these components are easy (at least for an experienced developer), to integrate in your application.

I am ordering the book now.

Welcome, Alexei & Andre!

Right. Alexei & Andre will be here with us. I went back and forth on whether to include Dave in the "welcome."

On one hand, he is the first author listed on Amazon. On the other hand, he isn't planning to be here at JavaRanch. Tony: Your post cleared this up nicely!

I'd love to take a look at a sample chapter from the book ... Is one available online someplace? The web site for the book listed on Safari (enterpriseajax.com) is unavailable right now.

Hey everybody!

I think Dave was having trouble creating an account on JavaRanch because it thinks 'dave johnson' is a fake name or some such thing. He's going to be swinging by under a pseudonym as a result.

For the sample chapter go here: http://safari.oreilly.com/9780132242066

www.enterpriseajax.com is coming up online soon. The DNS is being a bit slow!

See you all online today and over the next few days. My particular area of expertise is JavaScript/DHTML/CSS/XMLHttp/Design patterns/Usability/UI design/frameworks and the like. Feel free to ping me. I'll also be digging around these forums to see where I can help out.

More likely the name was already taken, When he gets an account set up, let me know what the account # is and I'll see what I can do to adjust it accordingly.

Note also that you've been promoted to "author" and I've given you access to the Author's Corral forum.
