Hi,
I am working on a project where I have a page that conatains the number of fields like account number, account holders name, cheque number, etc.
Firstly i'll like to search the data using multiple fields(if i enter account number and leave the other fields empty or enter account number and cheque number or leave all fields empty)
secondly...as if i enter data in any of the specific field... all the deatils corresponding to that data is displayed on other field as soon as i enter the data and press enter or tab.

Please suggest me how can i do this.

The first trick is to know when the user changes a selection or leaves a text entry field. Use that to trigger JavaScript that loads the next field. If you have all the possible values in hidden fields on the page, you can copy from the hidden field to the visible field. This would be all JavaScript work with the HTML DOM, so that's what you need to study up on.

If there is too much data to keep all possible values on the page, you can use the XMLHttpRequest object to call the server and fetch data without making the whole page flicker or refresh. Read up on AJAX technologies for that.

I'm not sure what your JavaScript skills are right now. I've done some of this only recently myself and spent most of my time looking up what to do next in Google. Did that make enough sense to go find more information, or do you need more details?
