Hi all ,
I am developing an application in which I need to use type ahead functionality using AJAX. I wanted to know is it possible to implement this functionality with Ajax alone or we need to use some other framework ..?
Any link will be appriciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply. Link which you have provided is talking about changing another field dynamically. My requirement is something like , user will enter first letter in a text field and it should diplay all the names starting with that letter and allow user to select a name and finish searching. Do you have any links on this ..?

The principle is the same.

yes, I agree with you but i wanted to dispaly the result in some kind of frame so that user can select a value. What I understand is we can display a new select field with the options and allow user to select a value, but I need something like auto complete form , only different is I will get values from database not from cookies.

You might want to look at the scriptaculous auto-completer controls.

I used Google to search for scriptaculous auto-completer controls, found a lot of information...

Is Google working in your browser?
