We are running Windows XP 64bit. Many of our internal web applications require
java 5 and only work in the 32bit version of ie. Therefore, the computers have both IE64bit and IE32bit.
On most of our machines, everything works just fine, however some issues have cropped up recently. Three of the machines developed a mysterious problem.
32bit IE opens up to the home page. Everytime you click a link or type in a new url, it then opens up two new windows. One is a blank white window. The other is the window for the site you are accessing. 9 times out of 10, it will freeze on this last window, locking up IE32bit until you end it with the task manager. That same problem does not occur with 64 bit ie.
All of the computers were created from the same ghost image, and I have no idea why this is randomly (?) happening to some computers but not all of them.
