Are you saying that you want the popup to be modal (like an alert)?
If so, I don't think there is a cross-browser way of doing this. It can be done on MSIE with client side VBScript but that's not an acceptable solution unless you can guarantee that your users will only connect to your app with that browser. [ January 08, 2008: Message edited by: Bear Bibeault ]

I dont think you guys understood what i asked... I want the user to close the popup page before he does anything else. how do i force him to do so. I have seen some sites when you go there a popup comes up and it wont go behind any other screen until we close it. how do i implement this?
