I have two HTML/JavaScript windows open, one working as a pop-up controller for the other. Normally, if the controller wants to know if the second window is open it just calls something like:

The second window has access to general web searching. Works perfectly fine. In some cases, the second window opens PDF/Doc Files (within the browser) and windowB.closed becomes true even though the window is still open.

Any idea on how to fix this?
