Hi James L Weaver!
I'm new to Java FX.. How is it different from other java script frameworks like Prototype , Script.acuo.lous? How convenient is it for people learning Ajax? How many years it has been since this frameword has been running?

Thanks and Regds.

JavaFX was started was last year; there has not yet been a final release.

You can't compare it to JavaScript libraries, since JavaFX generates Java code that runs in a JVM (somewhat like applets used to do). It can use all the facilities of Java, including communicating with the originating server.
