Thompson Technologies, Inc. client has an immediate opening for a Senior Integration Specialist with Java and Oracle database experience. Our client is located in the south Atlanta area and offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package! This is a permanent position. The Integration Specialist will serve as the technical liaison between enterprise architects, application developers, network and security architects and infrastructure analysts and will leverage existing and emerging technology and bring them to bear on projects. The SIS will serve as the technical resource on complex and cross-functional systems.

Description of Role:

The Integration Specialist will serve on a small, service-oriented team and will contribute in the following capacities:

Assist with maintenance of client web architecture: Apache HTTP servers, JBoss 4.x and Oracle 10gAS Application Servers, Sonic JMS servers, Reactivity XML gateways, Subversion, Oracle APEX, Oracle Virtual Directory and Internet Directory (OID), Microsoft ADAM, Oracle Access Manager (formerly CoreID), Oracle Identity Manager (formerly Xellerate) and maintain and contribute to shared common services comprising the enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Required Experience:
2+ years work experience in a similar job role
Java development experience
Good understanding of relational database design and strong data modeling skills
Bachelor�s degree, preferably in computer science or other technical field of study

Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Oracle databases in an administrative capacity
Knowledge of common enterprise Web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript or VBScript, XML, SOAP, HTTP and ASP
Experience with UNIX operating system
Experience with Java application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Oracle Application Server)
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Experience with varied programming languages and technologies (Microsoft .Net, Java, Perl, Ant, Kshell, PHP, PL/SQL, TSQL, etc.)

Client Technology Environment:
Our client�s environment consists of Oracle Applications (Financials, Order Management, HR and Payroll) and custom applications. Other software infrastructure components are Microsoft Active Directory, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Identity Management Suite, and custom J2EE on the JBoss platform.

Our client maintains a large Data Center, housing approximately 200 servers running HP-UX, Microsoft Windows, and Linux. The network platform is Cisco. The primary hardware platforms are HP 9000 and HP ProLiant servers. Supporting these servers is a storage area network comprised of EMC Clariion storage arrays and McData SAN directors. This infrastructure powers applications such as Oracle databases, Oracle ERP applications, Microsoft BackOffice products and custom J2EE applications.
