Venture-funded startup seeks an experienced JavaScript developer to build a Web-based desktop with a JQuery UI, and a PHP and Web services back end for an exciting project to be used in the science and research worlds. This project will rapidly expand knowledge as scientists share their discoveries quickly, and at a large scale.

Strong JavaScript skills
Experience with JQuery is helpful
PHP Experience
Talented Web developer
Experience working as part of a distributed team and with agile development processes is a plus

Our multinational team has diverse backgrounds in academics, sciences, bio-tech, and hi-tech, and was founded on the observation that individual scientists have too much to read and understand, and also no convenient way to combine and evaluate existing information into potentially valuable new knowledge.

Compensation will be based on the skills and experience of the candidate. This is a telecommuting position and you can be located anywhere. Candidates will be offered a paid trial. Those successful in trial will be offered long-term positions.

Fulltime or parttime, minimum 20 hours per week.
