i have limited experience either with xhtml and javaScript; will i still feel at ease with your new book?

Another Q i have is: will it teach me how to embed those little flash movies and still comply with standards?

I don't recommend it for developers just starting out. This is not an introductory tutorial to either HTML or Flash, though it does indeed cover embedding those little Flash movies in a standards compliant manner. Unfortunately that's one of the trickier refactorings in the book, and not the first thing I'd worry about.

Flash has never been designed with standards compliance in mind, and shoehorning it into a standard-based framework is challenging to say the least (though doable).
