Java / .Net Programmer Analyst needed - Long Island, NY

Looking for a programmer analyst with solid experience in both Java and .NET programming. This is a full-time, permanent position paying up to $110K. Candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Design, develop and maintain company's enterprise Custom Development Applications for both Java and .NET environments. Work on full project life cycle which will include requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation and provide production support of intranet applications. The candidate will be required to create full life cycle documentation. Candidate must be willing to "roll up their sleeves" and perform significant design and coding.

This position will play an active role in design and development of our corporate wide systems in addition to working with our internal customers.
�Upgrade or enhance current applications.
�Gather, analyze user's requirements and produce requirements documentation.
�Research ideas, technologies to support user requirements.
�Develop Data Flow Diagrams.
�Develop functional specification documents.
�Implement prototypes based on functional specifications.
�Create test procedures, test scripts and test applications.
�Development and roll-out applications to production.
�Maintain/Upgrade applications and other developer's code when necessary.
�Work together with other development groups, DBA group and network group to deploy reliable and scalable applications.
�Bring a vision for the future of MS products and where it can lead FRX.
�Evaluate new software. Research new ideas, technologies that would benefit FRX.
�Report regularly to management, attend status meetings, and submit status reports.
�Assist the project manager in refining software development standards for the group.

�3- 5 years of experience in development/programming and analysis.
�2+ years development experience with JavaScript, Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, ASP, ADO, VB, HTML, DHTML and using object-oriented analysis is required.
�1+ year experience in MS ASP.NET is preferred.
�Strong experience in Windows NT.
�Experience in Oracle and Weblogic Servers is highly preferred.
�Experience in UNIX operating systems would be a plus.
�Content Management software skills are highly desired.
�Any C# and component development skills would be helpful.
�Candidate must promote and follow software engineering best practices including all phases of software lifecycle and develop appropriate artifacts (e.g., functional specifications, diagrams, etc.).
�Requires key competencies in the areas of adaptability, analysis, collaboration, dedication, critical thinking, innovation, goal setting and problem solving.

BS in Computer Science or related fields is required.
