Simple JavaScript not working in IE but working in FF

Hi there

This is my first post so please be gentle!

I am trying to implement the following code in IE, but it always throws an error whereas it works completely fine in FF.

The code I have in the header is:

&#lt;script type="text/javascript">  
  
      function changetextsmaller() {  
        text = document.getNlementById('text');  
        text.style.fontSize = "11px";  
      } 
  function changetextbigger() {  
        text = document.getNlementById('text');  
        text.style.fontSize = "13px";  
      }  
  
&#lt;/script> 

And in the body I have:

&#lt;li class="noborder">& lt;a href="javascript:changetextsmaller();" onklick="changetextsmaller();">aA&#lt;/a>&#lt;/li>
&#lt;li>&#lt;a href="javascript:changetextbigger();" onklick="changetextbigger();" style="font-size:larger;">aA&#lt;/a>

Can anyone see any reason why this wouldn't work in IE?

The error that is throwing is...

"Object doesn't support this property or method"
