Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so excuse me if this question does not belong here.
If it does not, can someone point me to correct area.

Here is my question:
From my ASP.NET page, I need to print a Crystal Report to client's printer directly. I'm not using Crystal Report Viewer. I cannot use Crystal's PrintToPrinter method because this runs on Web Server side. How can I do this? I heard I need to use JavaScript to accomplish this but any
assistance would be great.

Thank you very much.

Please use real words when posting to the forums. Abbreviations such as "rpt" in place of "report" and "pg" in place of "pg" only serve to make your posts more difficult to read and less likely to generate useful responses.

Please read this for more information.

thanks,

To print on the client you'd use window.print(). A google search yielded this as the first result.

Thanks for the reply Bear, but window.print() prints the current web page. My question was how do I print a Crystal Report.

If "a Crystal report" is not a web page, then what is it?

Ulf,

It's a ASP page which generates a Crystal Report.
I can use Crystal Viewer to view the report, and then I can
use the toolbar that comes with Crystal Report to print client-side.
But, I also need to send reports directly to client printer
and NOT use the Crystal Viewer. Get it? User may have a whole bunch
of reports and he does not want to view each one separately then print.
He wants to send all reports to printer and walk away.

Lino.

So it's a question about the Crystal Viewer application (or how to avoid it to print something in "Crystal Report" file format), and there's no connection to HTML and web pages?
