Hi,
I am creating an application using Java and XML using Visual Age and Xerces parser. I am trying to import the xerces.jar into a project but am not successful in doing so. It is not showing me an error but is also not displaying the classes and packages in the project. Will be really obliged if anybody could help me with this?

Thanks in advance
Ira

Try to place the xerces jar file at the beginning of your classpath. I had problem when it is placed after the j2ee.jar.

Hi, Ira
I have the solution for your problem. Well, this solution works fine in Visual Ager for Java 3.5.
This solution involves:
1) Add to your workspace the project "IBM XML Parser for Java"
2) Create a Open edition
3) Delete all the packages beginning with "org."
4) Import the Xerces Jar in the project
5) Version every new package, and then the project
That's all folks
P.D Maybe it's so simple that not to used Visual Age for Java, you know what i mean ;-))))
