I'm about ready to take the Java2 Exam and am looking into an area of concentration. I am interested in using Java and web pages. I would like to create GUI interfaces for companies that accept data from salespeople. Is XML helpful?

It depends what you want to do with the XML file exactly. If it is to store data or to get something to desplay on the website. It can be helpful in many other ways. The main answer is yes.

You can use XML to get data on to the webpages . It depends want you exactly want to do with XML. IN EJB applications XML files are needed before deployment which gives complete information about the beans. Therefore it depends on your requirement.
