hi i am thinking of creating a chat room which has an html client and is served by the servlet on the server side. My concern is the page refresh which is i don't want. I have seen some sites which do not refresh the page and still get live update to it and messages go though. I'd like to know what they used weather it was an xml that they send the data to and read from. Please visit www.port.ru there is a chat section no registration is required you can locate chat on the top of the page. It has no refresh the browser always displays that the page is always downloading in the buttom corner. How is this done ? Thanks.
