pdf and cocoon

We will be producing a pdf file from information pulled from a database. In doing some research, I feel Cocoon is the best option, others think PDFlib, or FDFMerge or a better choice, does anyone have any feedback or tried any of these. I should mention that this will go on a OS390 system.

Cocoon is certainly an option you should consider, especially if you plan to do integrate XML and Web technologies. If you use pdf options with xsl:fo, Cocoon can handle it.
