Emerald Resource Group is an executive search firm that specializes in the placement of top IT talent in Northeast Ohio. We�re currently seeking a talented Java Programmer/Analyst for a new and exciting career opportunity with one of our top clients.

The purpose of this position is to participate in the custom development and integration work associated with individual customer implementations. As the Java P/A, you will be responsible for all aspects of the software development life cycle including analysis, design, programming, testing and troubleshooting Java programs.

Responsibilities include:
Development of technical specifications and implementation of code.
Balancing several concurrent customer assignments.
Timely delivery of application components.
Reviewing and contributing to functional specifications.
Preparing technical documentation on newly developed system components.
Gaining expertise in multiple technical and functional areas of the application.
Assisting in troubleshooting and debugging code in test and production environments.

Requirements include:
�Associate�s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and at least two years related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
�At least one year professional Java, XML and SQL programming experience (C/C#/C++ acceptable as well) is strongly preferred.
�Strong knowledge of Java programming language, XML and SQL
�Strong knowledge of object oriented programming concepts
�Experience developing in Windows and/or Linux/Unix environments
�Experience with relational databases
�Excellent analysis and design skills
�Experience with Eclipse, Subversion or CVS, and Ant a plus
