SQL Server Database Administrator

We are looking for a solid DBA to join our team. Our business is about real-estate data. We provide people information on their homes. Over the past years we�ve collected Terabytes of data which require love. Our DBA group is the best in the world, and we�re looking for the cream of the crop to join us. I f the following questions look appealing you�ll make a great fit:
* How many IO�s is required on 1000 individual inserts?

* How do you batch out an insert of 200 million rows?

* How would you provide business analysts with a 200 GB database in real-time?

* How do you backup, move and restore a 1 TB dataset across a T3 in quick time?



Everyday you�ll wrestle and solve these issues, working along side the smartest I.T. professionals in the industry. If you accept this challenge your responsibilities will include daily management of a 2 TB dataset (AND GROWING!!). Creating and monitoring performance statistics in a 24x7 Internet environment. Working to create and manage a five nine solution, including multiple COLO locations. Blending heterogeneous technologies such as MS SQL, MYSQL, and custom in house DB�s. And MUCH, MUCH, MORE!!!

This is not clich�, we need smart, hard working, experienced DBA�s that can look at our environment, and say �You need to do this� pick the ball up and run. We don�t micromanage. This is the place to run with your ideas, and deliver quality solutions

What we would love in a candidate:


*5+ years of 24/7 support production DBA experience managing Terabyte Datasets

*Full understanding of SQL internals, logs, schedulers, and data files.

*Full understanding of SQL Perfmon, and related monitoring skills

*Full understanding of SQL, and Windows security

*DTS, SSIS and other ETL experience

*Scripting experience (VBS, Jscript, command line) required

*SQL Profiler

*Disaster Recovery experience with databases larger then 200GB

*Experience in a mixed UNIX and Microsoft environments

Experienced with operational processes and procedures

*Ability to support on call rotation.

*Understanding that a task isn�t done until it is documented


Things that we would like you to know:

* Understanding Object Oriented Architecture

* Programming experience (.Net, Java, C++)

* System Administration Experience

* Server level hardware experience

* MYSQL

* MCSE/MCDBA
