Senior Software Engineer

Volt Technical Resources is looking for an accomplished Software Enginner with a Java specilization for a contract position in the Seattle, WA area in the US. While Volt will maintain an existing H1-B Visa for this position, we are not able to sponsor a new one. Further details below.

Contract Details
    Length: 6-9 months with likely extension
      Pay Rate: $60-75USD/hr DOE and interview
        Location: Downtown Seattle, WA- USA

        Position Details
        This is a full-time, contract position responsible for software engineering within the Guest Services platform. Guest Services is a web services infrastructure which is used by prominent TWDC web sites such as,,, and others to provide registration, authentication/authorization, personalization, and e-commerce functionality. This position will contribute to and lead development of new service capabilities as well as maintenance of existing capabilities. The platform is based on Java and MS-SQL technologies, and must be highly scalable and reliable.

        The candidate must have a solid development track record delivering large-scale 3-tiered web applications and/or middleware based on Java and relational database technologies. Candidate must be proficient in development using Java technologies such as servlets, JSP, JDBC etc, as well as web services technologies such as SOAP and WSDL. Candidate must be familiar with database development, and be capable of designing schemas, developing queries, and writing stored procedures. Ideal candidate will also have experience with database and query optimization.
