You will be responsible for JAVA/J2EE application development, support, and maintenance of a proprietary suite of products, while maintaining a close working relationship with business and technical staff, and outside vendors. You will: (1) Participate in product enhancement of existing software, and new project�s development life cycle; (2) Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members where applicable and maintain business and technical relationships with other operating units,development teams and vendors; (3) Gathering detailed systems requirements in the form of system requirement specifications and sign off on functional requirement specifications; (4) Delivering quality software, while assisting in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT)and training; (5) Ensuring all appropriate documentations of the solution is in place and is according to defined standards; (6) Contributing in the determination of project scope, resource requirements, skill requirements, project milestones, budgets, and risks per IS standard methods and practices; (7) Working with the appropriate business members and project manager to ensure that all project objectives are being achieved; (8) Identifying and removing barriers that may impede successful completion of an assigned project; (9) Assist in the development of project life cycle and standards� best practices, methodologies, techniques, and tools; (10) Mentor others on software development best practices, techniques, and tools where applicable.
