XML problem

Hi,
I am a new stater in xml.
I will explain my problem
"I created one Document object like this way
DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder();
Document doc = db.parse("c:/xml/message.xml");
After that I retreive one Node and trying to make changes in that node by using the method
nodeName.setNodeValue("Bhaskar");
After that I am displaying that particular node value.New value is displaying.But new value is not updating in the original file.Let me know how I can solve this problem.Please help me.

You have to make your changes persistent on your own!!!
Use the File class to write it to filesystem!!!
Remember to implement some lock mechanisms if in a
concurrent environment!!

Will it be very slow?. how should I write it back, I mean the whole file or only the modified tag.
Please reply with mor Information
