I have been successful in appending new values to an XML file using Javascript. when I do an alert on the file, it displays ok. when I try to save the xml document, I get a message saying "Permission Denied'... any clues as to how this can be resolved? On a different note... what is the best approach to appending to an xml file ? is java preferred over Javascript , if so, WHY? thanks
