Hi all!!
i am a software engineer working on java related technologies(servlets, jsp etc.) for the last one year. Recently, i cleared my SCJP exam & am looking for something new to explore. I have been told by many that i should concentrate on learning XML now...
will you please tell me, for a beginner like me, which one is the best buy???
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Lusha

Hi Lusha
You should definitely learn XML.I would say that XML is a backbone for the next generation web related technologies.

Hi ...
I have been pondering over the same question ...As far as the books go ..Pls try to get hold of the XML Handbook by Charles Goldfarb ....I have seen people talking much of this book on this site. If you are aimed at the XML Developer's Exam - XML Bible seems to be good by Michael Morrison. I am using both these titles presently to study XML.

Praveen

Another good book is "XML by example" by Sean McGrath.

Dear Lusha,
I would reconfirm what people have already said. XML is the next step. Also I would suggest that the best way to learn is by preparing for the exam and working with it rather than only reading the book. You can find the details about the IBM XML Certification at
http://www4.ibm.com/software/ad/certify/adcdxmv1.html
As far as books are concerned I am pretty impressed with XML Bible and XML handbook.
Hope it helps
Kelly

The IBM link didn't work for me, but this one did:
