Parameters from java-backend to stylesheet (xalan2)

Hi,
how would I pass a parameter from a servlet to a stylesheet, using xalan 2 as processor. I used to use the setStylesheetParam method from the XSLTProcessor class, but this class is considered deprecated.

use the setParameter(java.lang.String name, java.lang.Object value) - Method from the class javax.xml.transform.Transformer.
