Hi, you might be getting into that whole web-services thing, take a look at SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol): http://www.w3.org/TR/SOAP/ That should give you what you need to know, or at least give you a direction to head in.
Since an XML document is infact a text document, you can either send it as a part of the request or as an attachment in a multi-part request. But SOAP is the way to go.
