XSLT's input is XML, only XML, and nothing besides XML. You can pass session info to XSL stylesheet, if you arrgange it as XML. But why would you do that?

That's not the whole truth. You can also pass parameters to the stylesheet (syntax depending to your processor, but I think it is standardized in JAXP). So you could pass a.e. the system's time.

Yes, it also occurs to me that you can pass session info as a parameter. Then the initial poster said that they solved the problem, so I didn't comment. (And I do not see this post now ) If to speak about all possibilities, then I must report that the next version of XSLT will have "unparsed-text" function which can read any text file, not only XML, whether this is a good idea or not.

Yes. It takes the session information.
It takes it as a parameter.
The reason why I ask is I'll need to take the jssessionid all the way in my application.
Since the original feed is in a xml document that generate by servlets, while I apply stylesheet to transform it and try to post and do something again, I'll need to check to see if the jsessionid is there or not. The browser I use didn't accept the cookies. It only accept the url rewritten. That's why..
Thank you guys.
