Converting word documents to XML
Hi all,
Im new to the world of XML. I have a small project of converting a few word documents into XML format.
The word document has a template associated with it. i.e. The heading 1 is of a particular style, heading 2 is of a particular style, etc.
This, when converted to xml should look the same.
The idea of converting doc's to xml is due to the fact that the word .doc template keeps changing often.
So, I thought that if I have a DTD and a XSL file then I dont need to keep changing the word doc manually everytime some font style changes.
I only make a change in the XSL or the DTD and the new xml document is created...!!!
So, for all this i would need a converter that would convert my .doc file to the .xml format based on the DTD and the XSL file that i specify.
Could anyone please tell me if my idea is ok??
If not, then what is the solution that I should go for?
If yes, then please let me know some freeware that converts word docs to xml files.
Regards,
Boney

Hi,
The input file is a Word document and the output file needs to be an XML document.
