greenhorn - has < = 30 posts<br /> ranch hand - has > 30 posts
bartender = moderator (appointed by current moderators & sheriffs)
sheriff = adminstrator (appointed by Paul Wheaton, owner of this site)

As I think was already established in a previous thread, once you reach 31 posts you get a shovel and get to help clean out the moose stables. This is actually quite apparent because you'll quickly notice that most of us ranch hands are full of sh*t, whereas the bartenders and sheriffs, once ranch hands themselves, are the most adept at shoveling the sh*t.
As a bonus, if you're really lucky, and do a great job in the stables, they might even let you milk the moose.

Were the ranch run like a couple of companies I'm familiar with, there'd be 15 trailbosses, several hundred sheriffs, 1000s of bartenders, 5 ranch hands and a greenhorn.
