problem with jasper report excel format

i wrote code to set the back color for an excel fromat report in jasper reports.
It is showing forecolor, but not showing backcolor

could any one help me in this issue

I think you should set color attribute at the report top level element.
By the way can't you change the color in the iReport and watch the preview view instead of changing the .jrxml file?
