Hello,

I need to parse xml file using dom parser with jre 1.3.1.
In dom parser,I have to use "javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory" class.but I couldn't find this package in rt.jar of jre 1.3.1.

How can it possible ?

Could you please advise me ?

The Java API for XML Processing (JAXP) was not made a part of the standard library until java 1.4.

From this page you should be able to download the JAXP library that will work with your JRE 1.3 (I have not tried this)

In the absenxe of a really good reason to stick with jre 1.3, why not upgrade to the current JRE and use that library?
