Hello All,

I'm very new to this forum and as well as XML. I have a very basic question about the usage of XSL. I read that it is a replacement for CSS. I know that CSS is basically a styling methodology and I also understand its usage for HTML, since basically HTML is used for presenting the data. But why styling for XML. Isn't XML basically intended for describing the data. Why styling is needed for description ? My question may sound very basic. But I really got confused with this. Can any one clarify my doubt?

I really do not think so.CSS I think for primarily for HTML/XHTML application and has got good browser support.

XSL on the other hand can transform the structure of an XML to another format. The underlying model of data change and has got nothing to do with rendering. But CSS has got only to do with rendering.
